These 3 Questions Will Help You Stand Out And Differentiate Yourself

How do you differentiate yourself – when so many other practitioners or teachers are literally doing exactly what you do? 

They’re saying the same things.

They’re chasing the same clients.

There are three basic questions that, when answered, help you craft a compelling, head-turning message, thus enable you to differentiate yourself from everyone else who has the same type of business you have.

1.   What problems do you help solve? What results do you enable?

2.   Who has those problems? Who wants those results?

3.   What are the qualities and characteristics of your ideal clients?

When you answer these questions properly – not superficially – you will suddenly find that you can craft a simple, head-turning message.

Why?  Because you can come up with a dozen answers to each question. 

For example, in the Business Master Small Group Coaching Program, we usually have several professionals who’s primary focus is alternative healing services.  We may have a couple of massage therapists, a couple of naturopathic doctors, yoga professionals, and even a homeopathic specialist.

I helped them each go deep in their answers to these questions.  And by doing so, they realized that they’re interested in working with different slices of their market –on different problems.

Whereas previously they each would have talked in general about “I can help you feel better in your body”,  “I can help you reduce your pain” “We customize your treatment” — just like a handful of other professionals they directly compete with in their geographic areas.  See how each of these messages is broad and general and doesn’t really get to the specifics that any one individual may be dealing with?  Nothing in those previous messages set them apart from other practitioners and professionals.

<p>Now, they each have a different head-turning message that talks to THEIR own unique ideal clients.

Try working through the above exercise, answering these questions and diving deeper with your answers.  What could you accomplish in the next couple of months if you finally had a message that got your ideal clients reacting with “Say WHAT?!”
