Tune Yourself For Success – Getting Unstuck

A business owner needs to spend time thinking about his or her business.

  • What are the next steps to take?
  • What decisions need to be made?
  • What’s the most effective way to do something?

This type of deliberate thinking is important for your growth and success.  It enables your thought process to be clear.

What you are aiming for is “crystal clear clarity”.

Many small business owners in this field find themselves stuck, unsure of what decision to make or what direction to turn.  This is largely due to unclear thinking.

Picture an old time radio with dials. Now picture yourself tuning the dial to your favorite radio station and the station is fuzzy because two stations are overlapping and broadcasting at the same time.  Instead of a clear channel, you are getting interference — static.

That’s what happens to your mind when you are thinking both negatively and positively at the same time.

You may think about the potential your business has and the great things you could accomplish and be excited about the goals you are setting.

Then, at the same time, you are worried about your financial situation.  You are so confronted by it that it paralyzes you so you can’t quite get the goals and plans out on paper, or begin taking action.

This is exactly like two interfering radio stations.  All you’ll get is static and stuck.

Tune into just the one channel, the one that is broadcasting the great possibilities. Spend time every day thinking it through.  Imagine it, feel it, and think about the huge difference your service could be making for others if you were more successful or stable.

In your thought process, work through some of the obstacles that come to mind — but in a proactive way — in a way that has you coming up with solutions to the obstacles, not getting all bogged down into worry and overwhelm.
